Die Apfelsorte 'Santana' besitzt einen breit ausladenden, mittelstarken bis starken Wuchs (stärker als ‘Elstar‘). Die Früchte sind mittelgroß bis groß mit einer gelbgrünen Grundfarbe und einer roten Deckfarbe. ‘Santana’ neigt ähnlich wie ‘Jonagold‘ zur Fettigkeit. Die Reifezeit ist Oktober - Dezember. Der Geschmack ist gut mit einem feinsäuerlichen Aroma. Der Ertrag ist hoch und regelmäßig. Auch das Lagerverhalten und das shelf-life ist gut.
